Description
MSA series plate silencers include MKA series sound absorption plates. These plates attenuate noise through the effects of absorption and resonance. The sound-absorbing material of the plates is mineral wool. The part of the plate surface parallel to the air flow is covered with resonating panels. These panels vibrate (resonate) when exposed to sound, absorbing sound energy. The greatest resonance occurs at the critical frequency of the fan noise. This provides more intense and broadband noise reduction than plates using only absorption.
