Fusible link design
When a fire occurs, fire dampers close automatically, preventing flames and smoke from spreading through the ducts into adjacent fire compartments. When the temperature rises to 72 C or 95 C (for ventilation systems with warm air supply), the fuse link melts and the fire damper closes. The trigger mechanism is easily accessible and can be checked from the outside. One or two limit switches (optional accessories) can be used to indicate the valve blade position.
Spring return actuator design
The spring return actuator is designed to open and close the valve; it can be enabled through a building automation system. If a fire occurs and the temperature rises to 72 or 95 C (for ventilation systems with warm air supply), the thermoelectric device is activated and the fire damper closes automatically. As long as power is supplied to the actuator, the valve remains open. When the power is turned off, the valve closes. Motorized fire dampers can be used to shut off air ducts on a regular basis. The drive torque ensures the opening and closing of the valve flap even when the fan is running. The spring return actuator is equipped with limit switches that can be used to indicate the damper position.
Explosion-proof design with spring return actuator
A fire damper is used as an automatic shut-off device to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through the ventilation system in potentially explosive environments. The fire damper is suitable for supply and exhaust ventilation systems in potentially explosive environments. Based on the declaration of conformity TÜV 14 ATEX 140574, the fire damper can be used in the following hazardous areas. The ambient temperature and the type of actuation and drive specified in the technical data are mandatory.
