LON-WA TDC SERIES

For controlling temperature-controlled diffusers in heating or cooling modes.

Ideal air angle control under varying loads

For adjustable air distribution devices
Heating, cooling, constant temperature
Regulation of the supply direction based on the temperature difference between the supply air and the room
Special solutions, customization of characteristics
Use up to 20 cooling/heating actuators (3-position)
Use of up to 10 modulating rotary drives or 5 modulating spindle drives
Priority control

Adjustable air distribution units with motors are used to achieve the best air distribution in large rooms with high ceilings and varying thermal loads. LON-WA TDC series control modules control drives based on the temperature difference between the supply air and the room air.

The supply air temperature and room temperature are measured by outdoor sensors and transmitted as electrical signals or as LonWorks network variables. The graphical characteristic values are converted into deflection angles and the drives are adjusted accordingly.

Priority control functions are possible to set different operating modes.

The control module’s programmed sequence includes a watchdog and pilot signal function to monitor and maintain operation.

Operating modes

Temperature difference control

Calculation of the temperature difference between the supply air and indoor air
The angle of deviation corresponds to the characteristic
Standard operating mode for temperature difference control configuration
No priority control functions

Variable operating mode

Direct control of air supply angle by electrical signal (AI1) or network variable (nviManCntrl)
Temperature difference is ignored
Standard operating mode with variable operating configuration
No priority control functions

Cooling

Priority control function, air supply angle reduced to a minimum
The minimum angle is determined using SCPTminRnge (nvoActuatorPos)
Installation via DI1 or nviDI1_State

Constant temperature operation

Priority control function, air supply angle in neutral position
The neutral position is determined by SCPTdischargeAirHeatingSetpoint
Installation via DI2 or nviDI2_State

Heat

Priority control function, air supply angle increased to maximum
The maximum angle is determined using SCPTmaxRnge (nvoActuatorPos) and SCPTdischargeAitCoolingSetpoint
Installation via DI3 or nviDI3_State

Heating

Priority control function, air supply angle reduced to a minimum
Installation via DI4 or nviDI4_State
